  • 1998 - Mgr. (=M.Sc.) degree; Charles University of Prague; Faculty of mathematics and physics; Department of Meteorology and environment protection; Diploma thesis: “Numerical prediction of atmospheric boundary layer daily cycle”
  • 2004 – Ph.D. degree; Charles University of Prague; Doctoral thesis: “Modelling of ABL daily cycle and its interaction with fog and low level clouds development”.

  • Employment:
    Since 1998 Institute of Atmospheric Physics AS CR (IAP ASCR), Department of Meteorology

    International activities:
    2003 participation in: “LAPBIAT“ (Lapland Atmosphere Biosphere Facility) project and project “CzechCarbo” supported by the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic.

    Field of interest:
  • Atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) physics.
  • Parameterization of ABL and land surface processes (especially fog and low-level stratus) in numerical models.
  • Simulation of the soil-vegetation-atmosphere transfer of mass and energy.
  • Study of turbulence in plant canopies (turbulence spectra, coherent structures) - application of wavelet analysis.
